The Pegola is a part of Hill Gardens, created by Lord Leverhulme for a house now divided into apartments. The Pergola, beautifully cared for by the City of London and well restored in recent years, is one of the most enchanting secret places that the City has to offer.
But the real hidden delight is a Pergola Hill Garden It is essentially a raised walkway, overgrown with wisteria and roses, which looks especially beautiful in spring and summer when flowers are in bloom. Dangling violet flowers of wisteria set a romantic mood by creating a violet flower passage. Something that I need to check out this spring.
The Agricultural Park in which a new fruit grove and the splendid pergola of wisteria have found their place. The Bardini Garden, thanks to the intervention of the Peyron and Bardini Monumental Park Foundation, represents today an excellence of restoration: finally, this green heart of Florence has returned to beat in its city and for its city.

The place is normally empty and also absolutely free from tourists. I always found autumn to be a better time than summer. Sunset from the east end of the pergola is stunning. The inverforth house from the gardens look beautiful. Don't miss the walk from pergola gardens to the hill gardens in golders green.
